Here's a draft of my first Desktop Publishing project, where we had to design a magazine cover so I decided to go with Def Hi Mag. Def Hi is a copyrighted brand that I am in the works of, therefore, infringement will be not be taken lightly. The image is also one of my own. The final came out slightly different, I'll be posting that Monday.

BLU x Live Manikins x Illecismm x Mahtie Bush @ Beatnik Studios
Images from BLU Live in Concert at Beatnik Studios from this previous Thursday. I wasn't to fond of BLU's music but I wanted to go out and support my locals while getting some photography in. Live Manikins, Illecism, Mahtie Bush, Mic Jordan and Old Ghost were on the card while Dj Oasis kept it 100% spinning classic joints from Pete Rock, CL, Slum V, ATCQ and everything else I grew up on; I definitely felt hip hop in the building.

Art from the Unkown
While waiting for the show to start the other nite at Beatnik Studios, I realized that I wasn't just at a venue for performing artist but also at an art gallery. I started to wander off with my Sony A330 and found some of the most intriguing pieces that I had to capture the moment. The collection of women painted and manipulated with a tribal-type body art and Gothic decors were absolutely stunning, so stunning I kept snapping shots and forgot to write the artist's name to give credit. Shout out to the Unknown.

Year of the Boar
I dedicated this to album to my mother being she loves Harley Davidson HOGS. I chose the title Year of the Boar because of my zodiac sign being a boar (a wild pig; hog). After some editing I ended up taking out one of the images because of its attributes and turning the collection into a 11x17 poster for her, I guess the best thing in the world are free. Check out the final piece after the jump...

Typography Stencil Poster
This was created for a Typography project, where we had to choose a font and design a poster. I chose Stencil Std. as my typeface and wanted to more than just a black/white poster design so I threw some gradients, lights and shadows to bring the design to life, continue reading to view drafts for this project.
Let Art Clean Our Streets Campaign
This started off as my rule of thirds project for Photography class but ended up being a campaign for the less fortunate called Let Art Clean Our Streets the name is just a rough draft on what we want to happen, nothing is final. The quote I felt fit perfect with photography and the campaign.
